Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Personal injuries (car crashes, slips and falls, product-caused injuries)
  • Wrongful death
  • Criminal defense - misdemeanors and felonies
  • Estate planning and administration (also called "probate")
  • Business cases involving contractual disputes, leases, purchase agreements, real estate transactions, corporate formation and operation (by-laws, annual reporting, etc.)

  • Personal injury and wrongful death: We charge a contingency fee which means you do not owe us anything unless we get you a settlement or jury award first.  Our contingency fee is  1/3 of what we get for you.
  • Criminal defense:  We charge a flat fee depending upon the seriousness of the charge(s) and the complexity of the case.  Our fee on misdemeanor cases starts at $2,500.  Our fee for felony cases starts at $5,000.
  • Estate planning:  For simple estate plans, we charge a flat fee that can be as little as $300.  For more complex estate planning, we charge for our time at the rate of $300 per hour.
  • Estate administration (probate):  For small estates with less than $100,000 in assets, we charge a flat fee between $1,500-3,000.  For larger estates, we charge a percentage of the assets in the estate in accordance with state law - 3% or less.
  • Business:  For smaller matters with a limited scope such as the formation of an LLC, we typically charge a flat fee of a few hundred dollars.  For larger, more complex matters, we charge for our time at the rate of $300 per hour.

Absolutely.  We want to meet with you to learn about you and the challenges you are facing and we do not charge anything for an initial consultation.  If you decide to hire us, we'll get to work for you with a transparent fee arrangement that you understand and agree to.

Absolutely.  We will connect with you however you prefer.  We meet and communicate with clients in person and by way of videoconferencing, telephone calls, texts, emails, and written correspondence.  However you prefer to communicate, we're here for you.

It depends.  Imagine the worst possible outcome you're facing.  If you're comfortable with that happening, then go it alone and keep your fingers crossed.  If you're not comfortable with the worst possible outcome, then you should at least consult with an attorney and probably ought to hire one.

Because we follow the Golden Rule.  You'll get from us what we would expect for us.

We're not the biggest, cheapest, or maybe even the closest law firm for you.  We also don't wear the most expensive suits or drive the fanciest cars. But if you need an attorney who will work your case like it's their own, you want Wagner.
